A times we want to take a picture of the current browser window for our own uses. That is what we call a screen shot. There are several screen shot applications on the internet that can help you achieve that but this article covers the most basic and easiest way to capture a screen shot of your browser window.
One of the easiest options is to use the keyboard. While your browser is set as the active window, simply hold down the control key (Ctrl) and press the print screen key (PrtSc). (Ctrl + PrtSc).
Once done, you can open Paint from the your computer accessories and paste by pressing Ctrl + V. Edit you screen shot to suit how would want it to appear and then save.
The second option applies if you are running windows 7 and above.
- Start
- Accessories
- Snipping Tool
- Once the snipping tool is open, make sure that your browser window is active.
- Switch to the snipping tool window than click on New.
- Your mouse pointer will immediately change to a cross hair, drag it over the area of the browser window you wish to capture and release it.
- Save you image and that’s it.
